Richmond Tigers Secure Contract Extensions for Hugo Ralphsmith and Maurice Rioli
Richmond Tigers have announced that utility player Hugo Ralphsmith and pocket rocket Maurice Rioli have signed one-year contract extensions, keeping them with the team for the 2027 season.
Ralphsmith, 24, has participated in 75 games since being drafted in 2019, while Rioli played 10 games in 2026, scoring one goal. Both players were uncertain about their contracts after the season ended, but the club confirmed their extensions on Tuesday.
Richmond's list manager, Blair Hartley, highlighted Ralphsmith's improved performance towards the end of the previous season and noted Rioli's contributions to the team. The club is optimistic about their development in the upcoming year, with only two players, Tom Burton and Judson Clarke, remaining without contracts as pre-season approaches.
