Richmond Tigers Secure Contract Extensions for Tom Lynch and Harry Armstrong
The Richmond Tigers have announced that veteran forward Tom Lynch will remain with the team until the end of the 2027 season, marking his 17th year in professional football. Alongside him, young player Harry Armstrong has also signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2029.
Lynch's re-signing comes as Richmond undergoes a rebuilding phase under coach Adam Yze. The club's Executive General Manager of Football Talent, Blair Hartley, emphasized Lynch's importance to the team, noting his leadership and role in mentoring younger players.
Armstrong, who was selected with Pick 23 in the draft, has faced injury challenges but has played 12 games over the past two seasons. He joins fellow 2024 draft class members Taj Hotton and Jonty Faull in securing long-term contracts. Recently, Richmond bid farewell to two premiership players, Nathan Broad and Dion Prestia, who played their last game against St Kilda.
