Richmond's Taj Hotton and Jonty Faull Sign Contract Extensions Until 2029
Taj Hotton and Jonty Faull of Richmond have signed contract extensions that will keep them at the club until 2029. Both players were first-round draftees from the 2024 AFL National Draft.
Hotton has faced significant injury setbacks, playing only 16 games since his debut. He suffered an ACL injury before the draft and missed most of his first season, returning to play the final seven games in 2025. After another injury, he made a comeback in Round 15 this year and has since played every game, achieving a career-high 18 disposals in a recent match against Carlton.
Faull joined the Tigers in 2025 and has shown promising form, scoring in four of his last five games before a back injury ended his season. He recorded a career-best three-goal game against West Coast earlier this year. Richmond's Executive General Manager, Football Talent, expressed enthusiasm about the players' extensions, highlighting their potential contributions to the team's future.
