Ricky Tiedemann Activated by Blue Jays and Assigned to Triple-A Buffalo
The Toronto Blue Jays have activated pitcher Ricky Tiedemann from the minor league injured list and assigned him to Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday.
Tiedemann, a left-handed starter, has been rehabbing from elbow soreness that occurred while preparing for the 2026 season. This activation follows his first game action since undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2024.
Previously regarded as the top prospect in the Blue Jays system in 2023 and 2024, Tiedemann was also listed among the top 100 prospects by MLB Pipeline before his injury. During his rehab assignment in 2026, he made four appearances across single-A and rookie ball, achieving seven strikeouts in four innings and reaching a fastball velocity of 98 m.p.h.
