Ricky Tiedemann Activated for Triple-A, Eyes Blue Jays Call-Up

Ricky Tiedemann, a prospect for the Toronto Blue Jays, has been activated from the injury list and is back with Triple-A Buffalo, indicating a possible late-season call-up to the major league bullpen.

The 23-year-old has shown progress in his recovery from Tommy John surgery, having participated in several rehab assignments. In his recent outing for Triple-A, he pitched one inning without allowing any hits or runs, recording one walk and throwing 11 pitches with six strikes, while his fastball reached speeds of up to 97.8 mph.

Despite his promising return, Tiedemann's workload will be closely monitored for the remainder of the season due to his absence from play since 2025. The Blue Jays are currently in need of left-handed relievers, especially after trading Adam Macko, making Tiedemann's potential promotion significant if he can maintain his health.
