Rip Curl Cup Padang Padang Set for August 11

The Rip Curl Cup Padang Padang is scheduled to take place on August 11, with organizers ready to confirm the event based on conditions that morning. This marks the 23rd edition of Indonesia's longest-running international surfing competition.

Twenty-four surfers have been invited, including notable names such as Taj Burrow and Bruce Irons, alongside freesurfers like Mason Ho and Craig Anderson. Last year's champions, Westen Hirst and Jasmine Studer, will also participate.

The competition format includes two non-elimination heats for each surfer, with the top two scores determining their overall total. The top four surfers will advance to the final to compete for the championship.
