Rishabh Pant Hits 95m Six, Damaging Solar Panel at Colombo Stadium

Rishabh Pant made a notable return on Day 2 of the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo, hitting a powerful six that caused damage to the stadium's roof. After retiring hurt on the first day due to an injury, Pant resumed his innings and quickly made an impact.

In the 90th over, Pant hit a short delivery from Lahiru Kumara over fine leg, sending the ball approximately 95 meters before it struck the roof and damaged a solar panel. At the time, Pant had scored 63 runs, marking his 21st Test half-century, while his teammate Dhruv Jurel was also contributing significantly to India's first-innings total.

Pant's performance not only showcased his batting prowess but also allowed him to surpass MS Dhoni's record as India's highest run-scorer as a designated wicketkeeper in away or neutral Tests, having accumulated over 2,500 runs in this category.
