Road Dogg Claims He Was Denied AEW Opportunity Due to Political Beliefs
Brian James, also known as Road Dogg, has stated on social media that he was denied a position with AEW due to his political beliefs. He remains without a job following his departure from WWE in March.
In a recent exchange on X, James criticized AEW's tag team division, specifically targeting the sons of his former partner, Billy Gunn. This drew a response from wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, leading to further discussion among fans. In response to a fan's comment suggesting he should avoid public disputes if he wants a job at AEW, James claimed he was turned away because of his core beliefs.
James clarified that he did not support Donald Trump but mentioned that his father did, questioning why he faced repercussions. He also indicated that he is still unemployed, despite earlier reports suggesting he might take over creative responsibilities at TNA.
