Rob Keogh to Retire from Professional Cricket Due to Injury

Rob Keogh, a 34-year-old all-rounder for Northamptonshire, has announced his retirement from professional cricket at the end of the current season due to a back injury. The club confirmed this decision, stating that Keogh sought medical advice before making the choice to step away from the sport.

Keogh began his career with Northamptonshire, making his first-team debut in 2010 and accumulating 315 appearances across all formats over 16 seasons. He played a pivotal role in the team's T20 Blast victory in 2016 and contributed to promotions in the County Championship in 2013 and 2019.

Throughout his career, Keogh has scored over 10,000 runs for the club, achieving 21 centuries, which ties him with a notable player in the club's history. His contributions have been recognized with a testimonial year planned for 2024, celebrating his long-standing commitment to Northamptonshire.
