Robbie Savage Urges Peterborough Players to Shift Mentality

Robbie Savage, recently appointed as the manager of Peterborough United, has urged his players to adopt a new mentality to overcome their recent struggles. This call for change follows a decisive 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town U21s in the EFL Trophy, which marked Savage's debut in charge.

In the match, Peterborough scored four goals within the first nine minutes, securing their advancement to the last 32 of the competition. Savage is set to lead the team in his first League One match against Leicester City. He emphasized the need for the players to focus on their own performance rather than solely on stopping their opponents, aiming to entertain the fans who will be traveling to the game.

Savage, who joined Peterborough after leaving Forest Green, expressed optimism about his team's potential, stating that if they can harness their abilities, they can compete effectively against any opponent. He acknowledged that while his high-energy style of play may lead to conceding goals, the initial performance has set a positive tone for the team's future.
