Robert Griffin III Expresses Interest in Baylor Head Coaching Position
Robert Griffin III, the former Baylor quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner, has expressed a keen interest in the head coaching position at Baylor University after the recent dismissal of head coach Dave Aranda.
Aranda was let go following a 40-40 record over six and a half seasons, with Joe Klanderman appointed as interim coach for the remainder of the season. Griffin revealed his interest during an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show, stating he had already spoken with Baylor's athletic director, Doug McNamee.
Griffin, who played a pivotal role in Baylor's success during his tenure, highlighted the need for leadership that understands winning at the university. Since Griffin's departure to the NFL in 2012, Baylor has seen varying success, including three Big 12 championships. The Bears currently hold a 4-3 record this season and are scheduled to play UCF on Friday.
