Robert Sanchez Joins Como on Loan from Chelsea
Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has been loaned to Serie A side Como for the upcoming season following his loss of the starting position to Emiliano Martinez.
Sanchez began the Premier League season with Chelsea, playing in their 3-2 victory over Fulham, but his performance raised concerns, leading to the signing of Martinez from Aston Villa. Martinez made his debut shortly after joining, while Sanchez was omitted from the matchday squad.
Since joining Chelsea from Brighton in 2023, Sanchez has made 112 appearances, contributing to the team's victories in the Conference League and the Club World Cup. Como, managed by Cesc Fabregas, has an option to purchase Sanchez at the end of the loan period. Additionally, Como has secured Moise Kean from Fiorentina on loan with an obligation to buy.
