Robert Spillane Criticizes Tom Brady for Super Bowl Neutrality
Robert Spillane has voiced his frustration with Tom Brady for not supporting the New England Patriots during the Super Bowl. Spillane, who was in his first season with the team when they faced the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX, felt let down by Brady's neutrality.
Brady, a former Patriots player who spent 20 years with the franchise and led them to six championships, did not endorse the team during the game. Spillane expressed that this decision was disappointing, especially considering Brady's past contributions both on and off the field.
This is not the first time Spillane has criticized Brady's stance. He previously remarked that Brady's neutrality made him feel sick. Brady, now a FOX analyst and minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, cited his dual role as a reason for staying neutral, stating he had no preference in the Super Bowl. The Patriots lost the game 29-13 and are now preparing for the 2026 season under head coach Mike Vrabel.
