Robert Whittaker Targets Magomed Ankalaev for Next Fight

Robert Whittaker is considering a matchup against Magomed Ankalaev for his upcoming light heavyweight fight, following a callout from former champion Jan Blachowicz.

Whittaker recently achieved a significant victory by defeating Nikita Krylov in the third round at UFC 329, marking his first finish in the 205-pound division. He expressed interest in fighting Ankalaev or Bogdan Guskov as he aims to ascend the rankings.

Whittaker has ruled out facing his training partners Carlos Ulberg and Navajo Stirling, who currently hold titles, emphasizing the importance of finding suitable opponents. Blachowicz responded to Whittaker's comments with a challenge on social media, but Whittaker has not yet addressed the offer. Meanwhile, Ulberg is recovering from a leg injury and has no set return date.
