Robin Raikkonen Approaches Red Bull Junior Program Deal
Robin Raikkonen, the 11-year-old son of former Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen, is reportedly close to joining Red Bull's driver development program, according to Formula.hu. Although the agreement remains unofficial, a deal is said to be effectively in place, with an announcement expected shortly.
During a recent visit to the Red Bull garage at Monza, Robin was seen sitting in Max Verstappen's car, alongside his parents, Kimi and Minttu Raikkonen, who also met with key team members, including Laurent Mekies. The connection to Red Bull is further reinforced by Gino Rosato, Robin's godfather and a family friend, who has recently taken on a consultant role with the team.
Rosato previously mentioned that discussions regarding Robin's potential academy involvement were ongoing, hinting at a possible announcement within the year. While the Monza visit aligns with these reports, Red Bull has yet to officially confirm Robin's signing.
