Rockets Waive Three Players Ahead of Regular Season
The Houston Rockets have announced the waiving of wing Bryce Harris, forward Cameron Matthews, and guard Caleb McConnell, according to NBA.com’s transaction log.
All three players were signed under Exhibit 10 contracts and are anticipated to join the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Rockets' G League affiliate, where they could earn bonuses of up to $91,000 if they remain with the team for at least 60 days.
Following these cuts, the Rockets have 18 players under contract, with only two on two-way deals. The team must make at least one more roster move before the upcoming deadline, as they currently have 12 players on fully guaranteed contracts. The Rockets are also managing their budget closely, being just $14,000 below the luxury tax line, which may influence their final roster decisions.
