Rockies Designate Parker Mushinski for Assignment
The Colorado Rockies have designated left-handed pitcher Parker Mushinski for assignment as part of a roster adjustment. This decision comes after the team selected the contract of fellow left-hander Mark Manfredi and reinstated right-hander Jaden Hill from the injured list.
Mushinski, who is 30 years old, made eight appearances for the Rockies this month, pitching 6 2/3 innings with two earned runs allowed. However, he struggled with nine hits, five walks, and did not record any strikeouts. With the Rockies opting to move forward, Manfredi will take Mushinski's place as the second lefty in the bullpen.
After the trade deadline, Mushinski will be placed on waivers. His major league career includes 39 2/3 innings with a 4.99 earned run average. Before his call-up, he had performed well in the minors, achieving a 3.38 ERA over 48 Triple-A innings.
