Rockies Send Edouard Julien to Triple-A After Clearing Waivers

The Colorado Rockies have confirmed that infielder Edouard Julien has cleared waivers and has been assigned to Triple-A Albuquerque. This decision follows his designation for assignment earlier in the week when the team recalled outfielder Zac Veen.

Julien, who is 27 years old, previously showed promise as a prospect with the Minnesota Twins. In his major league debut in 2023, he played 109 games, achieving a .263 batting average with 16 home runs and a notable walk rate. However, his performance has declined since then, with only 14 home runs and a .208 batting average over 785 plate appearances since 2024.

This marks Julien's first outright assignment in his career, and since he has not yet reached three years of service time, he cannot elect free agency. The Rockies will retain him as non-roster depth, hoping he can improve his performance with the Isotopes.
