Rockstar Spud to Make In-Ring Return After Nearly Five Years

Former WWE Superstar Rockstar Spud, also known as Drake Maverick, is set to return to the ring for the first time in 1,769 days during PROGRESS Wrestling's Odyssey Tour in the UK.

Rockstar Spud, recognized by WWE fans as Drake Maverick, is preparing for his first in-ring appearance in nearly five years. The former WWE Superstar last competed in November 2021 and will be featured in two matches during PROGRESS Wrestling's Odyssey Tour in the UK on September 12 and 13.

PROGRESS Wrestling announced Spud's return, highlighting his extensive career in wrestling, including his time as a two-time TNA X Division Champion and a seven-time WWE 24/7 Champion. His last match with PROGRESS occurred in May 2017, where he lost to Nathan Cruz.

Since his last wrestling match, Spud has remained with WWE in a backstage capacity, contributing to the RAW creative team. His return to the ring marks a significant moment for fans, as he has been a notable figure in the wrestling industry.
