Rodri to Sit Out Barcelona's Match Against PSG in Champions League
Rodri will not be in the starting lineup for Barcelona's Champions League match against PSG at the Parc des Princes. He has been included in Hansi Flick's squad but will start on the bench.
Reports indicate that Rodri experienced muscle fatigue during training, prompting Flick to rest him as a precaution, especially with El Clasico against Real Madrid approaching. Barcelona will also be without key defenders Jules Kounde, Eric Garcia, and Andreas Christensen, making Rodri a potential emergency option from the bench.
Young midfielder Marc Bernal will replace Rodri in the starting lineup, while Frenkie de Jong, returning from injury, is also available as a substitute. Raphinha, who has recovered from muscle edema, will start the match after playing 20 minutes in the previous LaLiga game against Real Betis.
On the PSG side, Nuno Mendes is unavailable due to a thigh injury sustained in a recent Ligue 1 match.
