Roger Federer has been officially inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame, an event he described as one of the greatest honors of his life. The ceremony took place in Newport, Rhode Island, where Federer, who retired in 2022, became emotional while reminiscing about his remarkable career in front of tennis legends such as Billie Jean King and John McEnroe.

Federer, a 20-time Grand Slam singles champion, made his professional debut in 1998 at the age of 16. He holds the record for eight Wimbledon titles, along with six Australian Open victories, five US Open wins, and one French Open title. He also won Olympic doubles gold with Stan Wawrinka in 2008 and singles silver in 2012, contributing to Switzerland's first Davis Cup win in 2014.

During his speech, Federer shared lesser-known statistics from his career, including wearing over 5,000 headbands and 7,000 pairs of socks. He expressed gratitude towards his wife Mirka, his tennis idol Stefan Edberg, and the ball kids who supported him throughout his journey.
