Ronnie O'Sullivan was eliminated from the China Open after losing 6-4 to Noppon Saengkham in the second round. This defeat marks a continuation of O'Sullivan's challenging start to the season.
The 50-year-old former champion initially led 3-1 but lost four consecutive frames, ultimately falling short in the final frame, which ended 64-46. This loss follows his earlier exit in the second round of the Shanghai Masters.
Noppon Saengkham, ranked 45th in the world, has now achieved back-to-back victories over O'Sullivan. Saengkham will advance to face Shaun Murphy, who won his match against Xiao Guodong. Additionally, world champion Wu Yize was also eliminated, losing 6-2 to David Gilbert.
