Rowan Marshall Traded from St Kilda to Geelong in AFL Deal
Rowan Marshall has officially moved from St Kilda to Geelong after ten seasons with the Saints. The trade was finalized with Geelong sending Pick 14 in this year's National Draft to St Kilda, along with a third-round selection in the 2028 draft.
The trade follows Marshall's recent boycott of the St Kilda best and fairest event, signaling his desire to leave the club. He had expressed interest in joining Geelong last season, and now at 30 years old, his wish has been fulfilled.
Marshall, who was selected with Pick 10 in the 2017 Rookie Draft, has played 177 games for St Kilda. His departure comes as Geelong strengthens its roster, having already acquired Toby Greene and Jordan Ridley during the current player movement period. St Kilda, meanwhile, now holds two first-round picks for the upcoming draft, enhancing their young talent pool.
