Royals Defeat Guardians 3-0, Extend Winning Streak

CLEVELAND — The Kansas City Royals secured a 3-0 victory against the Cleveland Guardians on Friday night, ending Cleveland's seven-game winning streak. Michael Wacha delivered an impressive performance, allowing only four singles over eight innings.

Wacha, who improved his record to 8-8, struck out a season-high 10 batters and did not issue any walks. The Guardians struggled offensively, managing to get only one runner past second base during the game. The Royals scored their first run in the fifth inning when Bobby Witt Jr. doubled and was driven home by Salvador Perez's groundout.

In the ninth inning, rookie Carter Jensen hit a two-run homer, extending the Royals' lead. Steven Cruz earned his sixth save after loading the bases but managing to retire the final batter. Tanner Bibee of the Guardians, despite pitching six innings and allowing only one run, suffered his 14th loss of the season.
