Rusev Prepared for WWE TV Return After Extended Absence
WWE Superstar Rusev, a former United States Champion, has been absent from WWE television since July 27, 2026, following a match where he lost to Je’Von Evans. After the match, Rusev experienced numbness in his hands, prompting immediate medical attention.
After nearly three months away, Rusev made his in-ring return during WWE’s Hawaii live tour on October 16 and 17. Reports indicate that WWE has been planning for his television comeback since September. Rusev stated that he has been ready to return for about two months after recovering from his injuries and an unrelated illness.
He has been training at the WWE Performance Center and his own Catch Pro Wrestling Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. Rusev recently participated in live events in Hawaii, expressing enthusiasm for being back in action.
