Russian Missile and Drone Strikes Hit Kyiv, Causing Casualties
Russian missile and drone strikes targeted Kyiv overnight, resulting in one fatality and 22 injuries, according to Ukrainian officials. The attacks occurred just hours after Russia expressed willingness to restart peace negotiations with the United States and Ukraine.
The strikes caused damage to residential areas, transportation infrastructure, and other civilian sites across various districts. In the Dniprovskyi district, one individual was killed and six others, including a child, were injured as fires erupted.
On Wednesday, a Kremlin adviser indicated that President Vladimir Putin had agreed to resume three-way talks involving Russia, the U.S., and Ukraine after November 10. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy supported the initiative but remained cautious about the outcome.
