Russian Missile Strikes Result in 17 Deaths in Kyiv

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on Wednesday that a significant overnight attack by Russia resulted in at least 17 deaths in Kyiv and its vicinity. The assault involved a combination of missiles and drones, with Ukraine's air force unable to intercept any of the missiles due to a lack of air defense munitions.

According to the air force, Russia launched a total of 115 drones and 28 missiles, including 24 ballistic and four anti-ship missiles. While 98 drones were intercepted, none of the missiles were shot down, impacting 26 locations across the country.

Zelenskyy indicated that the strikes primarily targeted civilian storage facilities and infrastructure, including a brewery and logistics centers. He emphasized the need for enhanced anti-ballistic systems from international partners to prevent further casualties, as delays in support contribute to the ongoing destruction.
