Ryan Blaney Secures Fourth Pole Position at Richmond

Ryan Blaney clinched his fourth pole position in five races on Friday at Richmond Raceway, driving the No. 12 Team Penske car. This achievement sets him up to lead the field in Saturday's Cook Out 400, part of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Blaney's pole-winning lap was clocked at 22.225 seconds, averaging 121.485 mph on the 0.75-mile track. This marks the 16th pole of his Cup career and his second at Richmond, where he aims for his first victory.

Chase Briscoe will start alongside Blaney on the front row, with Josh Berry, Ty Gibbs, and William Byron completing the top five qualifiers. Other notable placements include Chase Elliott in 13th and Denny Hamlin in 14th.
