Ryan Blaney Secures Pole Position at Iowa Corn 350

Ryan Blaney secured the pole position for the Iowa Corn 350 at Iowa Speedway on Saturday, driving his No. 12 Team Penske Ford. He completed his second qualifying lap in 23.474 seconds, reaching a speed of 134.191 mph, which allowed him to surpass Kyle Larson, who had a speed of 134.088 mph.

This marks Blaney's first pole at Iowa and the 15th of his career. He has previously won a race after starting from pole only once. Defending series champion Larson will start second, while Blaney's teammate Joey Logano also recorded an identical time but was placed third due to a tiebreaker.

Brad Keselowski qualified fourth but experienced a spin that damaged his car. Tyler Reddick and rookie Connor Zilisch rounded out the top five and eighth positions, respectively. Denny Hamlin, the series leader, faced brake issues during practice and qualified 29th, potentially benefiting Blaney, who is third in points.
