
Ryan Blaney Secures Pole Position for NASCAR Cup Race at Richmond
Ryan Blaney has claimed pole position for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway, set to take place on Saturday night. Driving the No. 12 Ford for Team Penske, Blaney recorded a fast lap of 22.225 seconds, placing him at the front of the grid alongside Chase Briscoe, who qualified second in the No. 19 Toyota, just 0.050 seconds behind.
Josh Berry, Ty Gibbs, and William Byron rounded out the top five qualifiers, with Berry achieving a third-place finish after a lap of 22.281 seconds. The qualifying session saw a competitive atmosphere, with several drivers setting fast times, including Ryan Preece and Brad Keselowski, who also performed well. A total of 35 out of 36 entries completed a lap, with only Cody Ware not participating due to a spin in practice.
Austin Cindric, who is currently in the Chase field, will start the race from the 23rd position.
