Ryan Blaney's No. 12 Team Faces Inspection Challenges at Darlington

The NASCAR Cup weekend began with difficulties for Ryan Blaney's No. 12 Team Penske Ford at Darlington Raceway. The car struggled during pre-race inspection, failing twice before successfully passing on the third attempt.

Due to the inspection failures, the car chief was ejected for the remainder of the race weekend, and the team lost their preferred pit stall, being assigned the 38th and final stall. Fortunately, they avoided more severe penalties that could have included a pass-through penalty at the race's start.

Despite the challenges, Blaney noted that the team would not be significantly delayed for practice, although lightning in the area ultimately postponed all on-track activities. He currently ranks as the No. 2 seed in the championship standings, trailing the leader by 25 points. No other cars faced issues during the inspection process.
