Ryan Carr Departs as Castleford Tigers Head Coach
Ryan Carr has stepped down as head coach of Castleford Tigers due to personal reasons. His departure comes after he was stood down two weeks prior, with the club's director of rugby indicating they were following a process.
Carr, who was appointed last August on a three-year contract, achieved seven wins in 21 Super League matches, leaving the team in ninth place out of 14. Following his exit, Chris Chester has taken charge of the team for the last two matches.
Castleford's owner expressed regret over Carr's departure, noting the challenging circumstances faced by the club. He confirmed that Jason Netherton would assist Chester and Luke Robinson for the remainder of the season, with the Tigers set to face St Helens on Saturday.
