Sachin Tendulkar Honors His Father with Fellowship for Young Doctors
On Teachers' Day, cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar honored his father, Ramesh Tendulkar, by launching the Professor Ramesh Tendulkar Memorial Fellowship. This initiative aims to support young doctors specializing in cleft and craniofacial care.
Tendulkar reflected on the significant influence his father had on his life, emphasizing that his journey began at home rather than on the cricket field. Ramesh Tendulkar, a writer and educator, instilled values of integrity and character in his son, encouraging him to embrace failure while maintaining honesty.
The fellowship, established in collaboration with the Inga Health Foundation, will provide financial support for one MD each year to specialize in this critical area of healthcare. Tendulkar expressed that this initiative is a way to continue his father's legacy of education and service to others.
