Saints and Giants End First Half Tied at 10-10
The New Orleans Saints and New York Giants ended the first half of their game at MetLife Stadium with a score of 10-10 on Sunday. The Saints struggled initially but managed to score late in the half, giving owner Gayle Benson a reason to feel optimistic.
A field goal by Daniel Carlson put the Saints on the scoreboard with just over a minute remaining. Following a fumble by Giants kickoff returner Charlie Jones, the Saints regained possession and advanced the ball. Quarterback Tyler Shough completed a two-yard pass to rookie Bryce Lance just before halftime, leveling the score.
Shough's performance included eight completions on 19 attempts for 58 yards, while Jameis Winston contributed with nine completions on 16 attempts for 99 yards, despite being sacked three times. The Giants' running game struggled, with their backs managing only nine yards on eight carries.
