Saints Place Jordyn Tyson on Injured Reserve, Finalize Roster

The New Orleans Saints have placed rookie Jordyn Tyson on injured reserve, meaning he will miss at least the first four weeks of the season. This decision was part of the team's roster reduction to 53 players on Sunday.

Tyson, who was selected eighth overall in this year's draft, suffered a hamstring injury during a joint practice with the Jaguars earlier this month. Although he has a history of hamstring issues, the team's head coach stated that this injury is not related to past problems. Tyson will be eligible to return for the Saints' Week 5 game against the Vikings.

In addition to Tyson, the Saints released several players, including safety Terrell Burgess and cornerback Michael Davis. They also waived multiple players and placed five others on injured reserve, including cornerback Dalys Beanum and edge rusher Mike Heldman. The team also designated linebacker Jaylan Ford for return from IR.
