Saints Set to Sign Kicker Daniel Carlson

The New Orleans Saints are preparing to add kicker Daniel Carlson to their roster, following a summer competition that has not yielded satisfactory results from their current kickers.

Reports indicate that Carlson's signing is expected to occur on Monday. Currently, Tanner Brown and Charlie Smyth have been competing for the kicker position, but both have struggled in recent performances. Brown missed a field goal during a loss to the Rams, while Smyth also had a miss in the preseason opener, despite making both extra points he attempted.

Carlson joins the Saints after spending eight seasons with the Raiders, where he successfully converted 224 of 255 field goal attempts and 238 of 249 extra points.
