Saints Trade for Zamir White Following Kamara Injury
The New Orleans Saints have made a trade to bolster their running back position following injuries to key players. They have reportedly exchanged linebacker Deion Jones with the San Francisco 49ers for running back Zamir White.
This trade comes in the wake of Alvin Kamara's knee injury sustained during practice, which, while not season-ending, is expected to sideline him potentially until the start of the 2026 season. Kamara was anticipated to serve as the team's RB2 behind Travis Etienne.
In addition to Kamara, the Saints are facing challenges with other running backs, including Audric Estime, who is dealing with an ankle issue, and Devin Neal, who suffered a hamstring injury during a preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams. White, who recently joined the 49ers on a one-year contract, previously played for the Las Vegas Raiders, accumulating 736 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns over four seasons.
