Throughout the season, Sainz has been vocal about the car's shortcomings, stating that abandoning the team after a setback would contradict his message of support. He expressed that his decision aims to bolster confidence within the team as they work on the 2027 car.

While Sainz remains dedicated to the team, he does not believe in the viability of the current car, describing its concept as fundamentally flawed and unable to compete effectively.
