Sam Johnstone Joins Celtic on Loan from Wolves
Sam Johnstone has officially joined Celtic on a season-long loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 33-year-old goalkeeper, who has previously played for clubs including Manchester United and Crystal Palace, will compete with Finland's Viljami Sinisalo for the starting position at the Scottish champions.
Johnstone, who has four caps for England, made 17 appearances last season but lost his starting role at Wolves in December. He has not played since an FA Cup match against Liverpool in early March. He expressed enthusiasm about joining Celtic, highlighting the club's size and the pressure to win trophies.
Celtic's manager, Martin O'Neill, praised Johnstone's experience and quality, indicating that he will be a valuable addition to the team's goalkeeping lineup.
