Sam Leavitt Discusses Relationship with Former LSU QB Jayden Daniels

Sam Leavitt, the LSU Tigers quarterback and recent transfer from Arizona State, spoke with reporters on Monday in Baton Rouge.

Leavitt is set to become the second transfer quarterback from Arizona State to start for LSU in four years, following Jayden Daniels, who played for LSU in 2022 and 2023 after three seasons at Arizona State.

Despite their overlapping experiences, Leavitt mentioned that he has not had any communication with Daniels. He expressed respect for Daniels, acknowledging his successful career at both Arizona State and LSU, but noted that they have not connected. There is speculation that they might meet in the future, especially since the Washington Commanders, where Daniels currently plays, have a game scheduled the same week LSU faces Texas.
