Sam Swadling Aims for AFL Recall After Strong VFL Performance
Collingwood's Sam Swadling has made a strong case for his return to the AFL after being unexpectedly left out of the lineup last weekend.
Despite his absence during the trip to Adelaide and the subsequent loss to Geelong, Swadling showcased his skills by achieving 39 disposals and nine clearances in a standout performance against Geelong in the VFL.
The Magpies are expected to make at least two changes this week due to injuries to Jeremy Howe and Harry Perryman. While the focus may be on finding defenders, options like Steele Sidebottom or Scott Pendlebury could be shifted into defense, as both have experience in that position this season. Other players, such as Joel Cochran and Harrison Coe, are also being considered for potential inclusion in the AFL squad.
