Sami Pajari Secures Back-to-Back Wins at WRC Finland

Finnish driver Sami Pajari achieved his second consecutive World Rally Championship victory at Rally Finland, overcoming challenging conditions and fierce competition.

Sami Pajari celebrated a significant victory at the 75th-anniversary edition of Rally Finland, marking his second consecutive win in the World Rally Championship. Competing on home soil, Pajari, alongside co-driver Marko Salminen, finished 26.7 seconds ahead of teammate Oliver Solberg, who battled through pain during the event.

Pajari's triumph follows his first WRC win in Estonia just two weeks prior. The challenging conditions in Finland, characterized by fast gravel roads and unpredictable weather, led to numerous incidents, with six of the eleven Rally1 crews encountering difficulties. Pajari managed to navigate the course without issues, taking advantage of the misfortunes of others, including a crash by nine-time champion Sébastien Ogier.

The rally saw Elfyn Evans complete the podium in third place after recovering from a significant setback in stage 14. Pajari's victory elevates him to second in the championship standings, trailing Evans by 30 points.
