San Antonio Spurs Face Challenging Road to NBA Finals
The San Antonio Spurs, after a successful previous season that saw them achieve 62 wins and reach the NBA Finals, are preparing for a challenging 2026-27 season as they attempt to defend their Western Conference title.
This season, the Spurs will only play 37 games at their home venue, the Frost Bank Center. Notably, they will host a game in Paris against the New Orleans Pelicans on January 14, followed by another 'home' game in Manchester, U.K. on January 17. Additionally, they will play three games in Austin, Texas, coinciding with a Formula 1 racing weekend.
Despite the travel challenges, the Spurs will benefit from a lighter schedule of only 13 back-to-back games. However, they face a stretch of nine road games in 12 days from December 15 to January 3. The team will also feature in 34 nationally-televised games, the most in the league, primarily against top teams from last season, including multiple matchups against the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder.
