Sanjay Manjrekar Critiques ICC and BCCI for Leniency on Young Players' Misconduct

Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has voiced his criticism of the ICC and BCCI regarding their approach to recent disciplinary issues involving young players Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal. He argues that by allowing such behavior to go unpunished, the governing bodies are inadvertently encouraging a pattern of misconduct.

Both players have been involved in notable on-field confrontations. Jaiswal was fined 25 percent of his match fee and received a demerit point for an altercation with Sri Lankan bowler Asitha Fernando during a Test match in Colombo. The incident escalated after Jaiswal was dismissed, leading to a head-to-head confrontation between the two players.

Earlier, Sooryavanshi was involved in a heated exchange following a one-day match against Sri Lanka A, which nearly resulted in a physical confrontation. Despite the criticism directed at him for his actions, he did not face any disciplinary measures from the BCCI.
