Santos Escobar Advocates for More Latino Representation in WWE
Santos Escobar, a former WWE Superstar now known as Romeo Malverde, has expressed his wish for WWE to employ more writers and producers from Hispanic backgrounds. He highlighted that while Latino talents are beginning to showcase their skills, there is still significant progress to be made in representation.
In a recent interview, Escobar acknowledged the importance of having Latino voices in the creative process, emphasizing that only those with similar backgrounds can effectively approach the Latino niche. He believes that proper representation is crucial for the success of projects within the company.
Despite being released earlier this year while working in AAA, Escobar remains hopeful about WWE's future hiring practices. He stated that companies aiming to connect with specific demographics should ensure those groups are represented by individuals who understand their culture.
