Saquon Barkley Impressed by Eagles' Acquisition of Dontayvion Wicks

Saquon Barkley has expressed surprise at the Philadelphia Eagles' acquisition of wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks during the offseason. The Eagles made significant changes to their wide receiver lineup following A.J. Brown's departure, and Barkley is particularly impressed with Wicks' performance in training camp.

The Eagles traded a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick to the Green Bay Packers to secure Wicks, who was originally a fifth-round pick in the 2023 draft. Barkley noted that despite Wicks not being a direct replacement for Brown, he has shown remarkable potential and energy on the field.

Barkley praised Wicks for his skills, highlighting his ability to run routes aggressively and block effectively. Although Wicks' yardage declined in his subsequent seasons after a strong rookie year, Barkley believes he has the potential to thrive in the Eagles' offensive scheme under Sean Mannion.
