The interview, which aired during lunch on the first day of the match, featured Suleiman and Kasim Khan discussing their father's treatment while imprisoned. Despite the PCB's concerns about the interview potentially leading to the cancellation of the Test, play resumed after the lunch break without incident.

As the match continued, Sarfaraz emphasized his focus on the game, stating that the players were unaware of the interview's implications. The Test match is ongoing, with England leading by 261 runs at 81-3 in their second innings.
