The concept originated from Riley Joslin's visit to a New York City flea market, where he was inspired by a brand selling hand-embroidered clothing. Saturday Best features two main lines: curated vintage, which involves altering older Penn State items, and originals, where blank vintage garments are customized with unique designs.

Joslin, who lacks formal fashion design training, has dedicated significant time to researching materials and design techniques. The brand aims to counter fast fashion by producing thoughtfully crafted pieces. Saturday Best will debut its first pop-up shop on October 30, inviting the community to experience its unique offerings.
