Savannah Bananas to Go International in 2027
The Savannah Bananas are set to take their Banana Ball events to Canada and Mexico in 2027, marking the first time the team will perform internationally.
Owner Jessie Cole announced that the team, along with five others, will play in Monterrey and Tijuana, Mexico, as well as at Rogers Centre in Toronto and in Winnipeg. The schedule includes games at 23 Major League Baseball stadiums and 10 football stadiums.
Since its inception in 2016, the Savannah Bananas have gained popularity, leading to the addition of five teams for the 2026 season. The Baseball Hall of Fame recently opened an exhibit dedicated to the Bananas, recognizing their appeal to younger audiences. A film about the team's journey will premiere at Truist Park in Atlanta on June 12.
