Savinho's Transfer to Tottenham Marks Milestone for Manchester City
Manchester City is finalizing the sale of Savinho to Tottenham for a total of £75 million, plus an additional £10 million in performance-related add-ons. This transfer represents a record sale for the club and a significant moment for the City Football Group (CFG).
Savinho, who spent four years within the CFG framework, was initially signed by Troyes from Atletico Mineiro in 2022 but did not play for the French club. He was loaned to PSV and then Girona, where he excelled, contributing to Girona's Champions League qualification with nine goals and eight assists in the 2023-24 season.
Despite limited success in the Premier League, where he scored twice and assisted 12 times, his transfer is seen as a financial triumph for CFG. The organization has successfully sold several players developed through its system, generating over £250 million in recent years. CFG aims to continue nurturing young talent while balancing sporting success with financial gains.
